-blacksheep's Summer 2013 Anime List

I was a bit surprise to suddenly notice that summer is fast approaching (considering that summer just ended here in our country). I just did a quick view of the upcoming series and I don't really know about outstanding series but some of them seem quite decent in my opinion.

With only very few great series to lookout for this season, this season isn't exactly anything different from last year. Looking back to last Summer's offerings, I'd say that the only series I truly liked was UtaKoi but Kokoro Connect, Sword Art Online and Binbougamiga! were also pretty notable in my opinion. And I guess you could also add Jinrui wa Suita Shimashita there (but I really need to re-watch it to appreciate it more -_-).

This year, I only have Danganronpa, Monogatari Series: Second Season and Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi as the series I find that'll stand above the rest. But of course that's just my personal view and it's just an impression. My view on all of these series might change as the season actually starts. The rest of the series aren't exactly bad but not particularly outstanding either but I am also eyeing on Uchouten Kazoku, GATCHAMAN Crowds and Gin no Saji. The rest are probably flat or not impressive at all most especially just looking at the series this upcoming season there're a number of harem (Kami nomi zoShiru Sekai, Monogatari Series) and bishounen-filled series (FREE!, BROTHERS CONFLICT); a lot of slice of life-school (Tamayura ~More Aggressive~, Love Lab) and moe (Fantasista Doll, KiniroMosaic) series this season. But you see if last Spring was called the sci-fi season, Summer is the season of supernatural and fantasy (Uchouten Kazoku, Makai Ouji: Devils and Realists) not that supernatural is such a rare genre :P

Similar to last season, I decided to split my watch list into 3 since I am trying to lessen the series I'll watch weekly. I have 24 series all in all. My commentary on each series is divided into 2 short paragraphs - my general thoughts on the series and my thoughts on the cast/voice actors. The series on my last list only have quick commentary since I'm not entirely up for them.

Will Watch Weekly.
The series that falls under here doesn't entirely mean that they are my top picks for the season. These are just series I want to watch and I can probably enjoy watching on a weekly basis

Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei - THE ANIMATION [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Action, Mystery, Horror, Psychological
Production: Lerche
Synopsis:
A group of 15 elite high school students are gathered at a very special, high class high school. To graduate from this high school essentially means you'll succeed in life, but graduating is very difficult. The school is presided over by a bear called Monokuma, and he explains to them that their graduation hinges around committing a murder. The only way to graduate is to kill one of your classmates and get away with it. If the other classmates discover the identity of the killer, the killer is the only one executed. However, if they fail to catch the killer, only the killer graduates and the others are annihilated. Which of the 15 will survive the bloodbath to come?
[MU via MAL]
Thoughts:
This is probably the most exciting series for me right now. The premise of having characters kill each other without being identified is its most appealing concept. With Kishi Seiji (Persona 4 THE ANIMATION, Devil Survivor 2 THE ANIMATION) directing the series, I personally think that Danganronpa's atmosphere and art-style will work well. As for the story, I'd say that it's very interesting but I don't want to bet on it so much since DeSu2 didn't caught my full attention despite its interesting premise.
As for my voice actor comments, the series is headed by Hikasa Youko (Saeki Nanako, Yusa Emi) and Ogata Megumi (Kurama, Mutou Yugi) together with Ooyama Nobuyo (Doraemon). They're not exactly my fave set of seiyuu out there but I'd say that it'll be pretty decent. But a series with good story and good execution will always be great to watch. So I can always ignore my okay seiyuu faves on this kind of series :3

Monogatari Series: Second Season [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Ecchi, Romance, Supernatural
Production: SHAFT
Synopsis:
Adaptation of the second season of the Monogatari Series. This includes: Nekomonogatari: Shiro (Hanekawa's story), Kabukimonogatari (Hachikuji's story), Hanamonogatari (Kanbaru's story), Otorimonogatari (Nadeko's story), Onimonogatari (Shinobu's story), and Koimonogatari (Kaiki's POV
[MAL]
Thoughts:
This has got to be one of the season's most looked-out-for series. The Monogatari Series has always been an entertaining, fan service-y series with its witty lines and monologues by Araragi Koyomi in Kamiya Hiroshi's (Kuze Hibiki, Gareki) amazing voice. The stories seem interesting as usual and funny that we're going to see Kaiki's point-of-view in Koimonogatari. And now that I've think about it, when will the Kizumonogatari movie be out? It's seems that it has been announced for too long -_-
The cast isn't really anything new. I'm really excited to hear Kamiya Hiroshi back as Araragi 'cause he's one of Kamiya's best roles. Araragi definitely brings out the best in Kamiya. Aside from Kamiya, I also like Saito Chiwa's (Yagami Tsurugi, Akemi Homura) voice acting on Senjougahara Hitagi. Definitely the perfect pair for Kamiya's voice acting to Araragi :3

Tamayura ~More Aggressive~ [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life
Production: TYO Animations
Synopsis:
Second Season of Tamayura: Hitotose
Fu Sawatari, the girl had moved to her late father's hometown last year, is settling into her second year in high school. She surprises her friends with her plan to form a photography club. She has trouble recruiting members from the incoming students, but then she encounters a girl named Kanae Mitani. Like Fu, her hobby is photography, and she uses the Pentax Q camera. She tends to over think things and ends up unable to take action.
[ANN]
Thoughts:
I've seen the original OVA as well as the first season of the anime TV series. The Tamayura series isn't really one of the top series out there. It's greatest appeal is its beautiful sceneries and its relaxing atmosphere. I'm pretty positive that director Satou Junichi can keep this relaxing feeling this series gives despite having that 'more aggressive' tagline. Well I guess the appearance of a new character and the photography club can steer things around :3 I decided to watch Tamayura weekly since watching it all at once will definitely be boring :P
As for the cast, we'll definitely have the same set of cast from the previous seasons: Taketatsu Ayana (Martinozzi Eclair, Kousaka Kirino), Gibu Yuko, Iguchi Yuka (Araragi Tsukihi, Takayama Maria) and Asumi Kana (Nyaruko, Tsukuyomi Sasami). The new character, Mitani Kanae, is voiced by Kayano Ai (Honma Meiko, Yuzuriha Inori). I'm not really into the cast of the series but I'm more of seeing of the 'fluffiness' of the series (whatever that suppose to mean. LOL).

Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku  [ANN|MAL]
Genre: School, Seinen
Production: Nomad
Synopsis:
"Kitakubu" (literally, "go-home club") is Japanese slang for kids who go home instead of joining clubs, sports, or other afterschool activities. In one high school, there is a real "Kitakubu" of girls who do whatever they like. The president is a free spirit named Sakura, while Botan is the combative heir to a school of ancient martial arts. Claire happens to be the daughter of the head of the powerful Kokonoe conglomerate. Natsuki joins the club at the invitation of another freshman, Karin, but she is unprepared for the hijinks there.
[ANN]
Thoughts:
There aren't really much information on this series since neither MAL nor ANN has posted a complete list of the staff and cast. Pretty sad news. But anyway, given the synopsis, I'd say that it's going to be a typical slice of life series. Nothing special here. Probably. I'm mostly for the relaxation from everything anyway. I like pointless series from time to time :D

Genre: Sports
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Haruka Nanase, a boy who has always loved to be immersed in water, and to swim in it. Before graduating from elementary school, he participated in a swimming tournament along with his fellow swimming club members, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, and Rin Matsuoka. After achieving victory, each of the boys went their separate ways.
Time passed, and in the middle of their uneventful high school lives Rin appears and challenges Haruka to a match, showing Haruka his overwhelming power. Not wanting it to end like this, Haruka, gathers together Makoto and Nagisa once again and brings a new member named Rei Ryugazaki to create the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club in order to defeat Rin.

Thoughts:
IT'S THE FUJOSHI SERIES FOR THE SEASON! Okay, I'm just kidding. I don't really want to look at Free! TV that way. Actually I want to give this K-ON!-looking-turned-guys series a positive outlook. Looking at the plot, I think that it's going to be pretty decent. Its nature of having an all-bishounen main characters probably pushes other people to skip this one since guys trying to do KyoAni-moe is seriously awkward. LOL. Anyway Utsumi Hiroko will be directing this series and seeing his resume, I'd say that we'll be getting a nice amount of moe-ness :3 LOL. But this will probably be neutralize by Yokotani Masahiro (Hataraku Maou-sama!, Beelzebub) who'll be working on the scripts and composition.
The cast is certainly to look forward to in the series. The FREE! is headed by Shimazaki Nobunaga (Kirishima Kaito, Sakurai Ryou) as Nanase Haruka. He's a fairly new voice actor and I'm already eyeing on him. Also there's Miyano Mamoru (Mashima Taichi, Fushimi Saruhiko) who'll be playing the rival of Haruka. Pretty much I think that he'll work out well since Mamo-chan never fails to make all his characters great. Aside from Shimazaki and Mamo-chan, FREE! will also have Yonaga Tsubasa (Komano Tsutomu, Niiya Teiichi), Hirakawa Daisuke (Akari, Itou Makoto) and Suzuki Tatsuhisa (Takao Kazunari, Yoshida Haru).

Uchouten Kazoku [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Fantasy
Production: P.A. Works
Synopsis:
In Kyoto, there are three kinds of residents: humans, raccoon dogs, and tengu. Shimogamo Yasaburou is the third son of the Shimogamo raccoon dog family. His father, Souichirou, had been the head of Kyoto raccoon dog community until he was eaten by the human members of "Friday Club". While taking care of old tengu, fighting with other raccoon dogs, and playing with a psychic human girl, Yasaburou approaches the truth of his father's death.

Thoughts:
P.A. Works is such an amazing anime production company when it comes to animation that I dare not pass a series done by them. I don't exactly know what to expect from this series but  based on its fantasy-based synopsis I'd say it looks pretty decent. Their series for this Spring, RDG, seems to have been received quite well so I'd say that P.A. Works pretty much work nicely on fantasy series rather than slice of life *cough*TARITARI*cough*
Uchouten Kazoku is headed by Sakurai Takahiro (Ureu Mono, Makishima Shougo) and I absolutely like his voice acting. I like him in a serious character but I guess a comedic character won't hurt him. I'll be crossing my fingers that P.A. Works won't mess up with his character :3 Other characters are also looking nice so I'm really looking forward to them. Other main characters voice actors (as stated by MAL) are: Suwabe Junichi (Aomine Daiki, Inaba Hiroshi), Yoshino Hiroyuki (Allelujah Haptism, Fujisaki Yusuke), Nakahara Mai (Watashi, Furukawa Nagisa)

Gin so Saji  [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Shounen, School, Slice of Life
Production: A-1 Pictures

He thinks, with his talent in studying, no problems will arise no matter what kind of school he attends. He is proven wrong very quickly. Raised as a city boy, he is forced to uncover the inconvenient truth about agricultural life. Enjoy the story of Hachiken, as he tries to keep up with his new friends, farmers' heirs, who are already accustomed to the harsh world of farming. With no clear goals or understanding of farming life, how will Hachiken survive this new, cruel reality? The story of a sweat, tear, and mud-stained youth begins!
[MAL]
Thoughts:
What I particularly like about this series is its slice of life aspect. I'd say that it seems a bit inspiring in a sense that a bigshot guy would experience something entirely different in what he's used to. He'd learn lots of things from the people around him and he'll probably learn more things about life in general. It's a shounen series so I'm pretty positive that it'll also be enjoyable and that means it'll have a sweet combination of comedy and drama which is something generic to shounen series. (and did I mentioned that miwa's singing the OP song? :3)
The cast is headed by Kimura Ryouhei (Hasegawa Kodaka, Asaba Yuki) as Hachiken Yugo and Miyake Marie (Oginome Ringo, Kasuga Tamaki) as Mikage Aki. I'm pretty positive that Kimura Ryouhei will do well in his role. As for Mikage Aki-san, I don't really know what to expect from her since she hasn't exactly done much notable roles :3

Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!  [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, School, Shounen
Production: SILVER LINK
Synopsis:
Kuroki Tomoko is a super popular, high school girl who has had 50 years of dating experience and 100 boys... in the Otome game world. In the real world, she is a 15-year-old shut in who has all of the qualities of a "mojo" (a gloomy or unpopular woman).
However, when school isn't going as she expected, and she isn't as popular as she had thought she was, she takes a look at herself in the mirror for the first time in a few years, and has some shocking revelations...
[MU via MAL]
Thoughts:
So WataMote is SILVER LINK's offering for the upcoming season. The series doesn't really look 'beautiful' in terms of art, in my opinion. SILVER LINK isn't a particularly outstanding anime producer for me with only Tasogare Otome x Amnesia as something that I truly like in terms of its overall art and animation, pacing and story. But I do have to admit that Kokoro Connect is also pretty notable. Oonuma Shin will be directing this series who also directed the two mentioned series which is a pretty nice up.
There aren't really much characters and cast revealed for now. Being headed by Kitta Izumi who's fairly new to me, I obviously don't know what to expect. But the revealed supporting casts being Nakamura Yuuichi (Oreki Houtarou, Miketsukami Soushi) and Hanazawa Kana (Kuroneko, Shiina Mayuri) is a pretty nice view :3

Will Marathon at the end of the season.
The series that fall under this part of my list are mostly series I think I'll be needing a little bit of my mind into it although not so much, of course. I've placed most heavy plot series in here and depending on their length and some first impression posts from other bloggers, I might move them to my weekly series.

Senyuu. 2  [MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Shoujo, Supernatural
Production: Studio DEEN
Synopsis:
Second season of Senyuu.
Long ago, there lived an evil being who reigned over the world through fear, called Satan Rchimedes. He invaded the human world with his many demon underlings, spreading madness and chaos everywhere. One thousand years ago, this menace was sealed by the hero Creation, and peace returned to the world.
Then, one day, a great hole suddenly appeared on the surface of the world, and a vast number of demons appeared. The king discerned that the menace Satan had returned after being sealed away for a thousand years, and decided to send the hero's descendants to battle him. He found 75 men. As one thousand years had passed, you see, it was difficult to tell who the hero's descendants were.
So the king declared that he would grant the title of "true hero" and great fortune to the one who defeated Satan, and ordered the new hero, Alba, and his warrior attendant, Ross, on a quest to bring down the evil Satan.
Though he struggles with lesser monsters and is even nearly killed by his partner Ross, Alba's quest to polish his fighting skills leads him to new places and new meetings that he had never expected. Battles, laughter, and emotional moments enhance this adventure tale of an incompetent hero and a sadistic warrior!

Thoughts:
I never really planned to watch this 3min anime-short last Winter but I've reason somewhere that it's a pretty nice comedy-rpg 3min series. It's 3mins so it won't hurt trying it. Turns out the guy who said it was a nice comedy wasn't lying at all. I enjoyed Senyuu. most of the times but like every comedy-centered series out there, punchlines and repetitive comedy acts loose their charm after a few times. But it's still a pretty nice 3min anime-short to watch.
Probably the strongest point of the comedy in here is also the delivery of the two very talented seiyuu who seriously fit their roles well. Shimono Hiro (Urushihara Hanzou, Nai) as Alba the lame hero and straight man of the comedy duo is as great as ever. Well I'm pretty positive that Shimono-san will always work well in physically weak characters. LOL. As for Nakamura Yuuichi (Oreki Houtarou, Kousaka Kyousuke) as Ross, he kind of gave off the Houtarou vibes in here and I really like it. I'm actually looking forward to more serious-comedy characters by Nakamura :3 And let's not forget Kayano Ai (Ooe Kanade, Ibara Mayaka) as Ruki.

Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Demons, Fantasy, Shoujo, Supernatural

The story revolves around William, an aristocratic family's progeny with rare intellect. One day, his uncle lost his possessions after his business failed. Fearing that his family's name has been tarnished, William returns home and searches with his family's butler for anything that can be converted into cash. A search of the premises yields an underground room left by an ancestor. In the room is a magical seal, and William unintentionally summons a devil. The summoned devil tells William his name Dantalion, and reveals that William is the designator who can choose the acting ruler of the demon world.
[ANN]
Thoughts:
It's another bishounen series for the season but I'm definitely liking this more than that moe swimming anime FREE!. The story seems interesting and it'll be by the team of Kon Chiaki (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Arcana Famiglia) and Yokote Michiko (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, RDG: Red Data Girl).
Anyway, what's probably more eye catching for me in this series is the pretty nice cast :3 The series is headed by Terashima Takuma (Aoki Yoshifumi, Yamaguchi Kenji) and Eguchi Takuya (Watanuki Banri, Hokaze Kon) together with Kakihara Tetsuya (Natsu Dragneel, Inuzuka Shino), Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (Kirito, Fujishima Narumi) and Fukuyama Jun (Togashi Yuuta, Mariandale). With these outstanding voice actors (that are definitely into my liking), I'll definitely tune in to this series. Better make a decent pacing *stares at Chiaki-san after remembering her work on Arcana Famiglia*

Blood Lad [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Demons, Vampire, Supernatural, Seinen
Production: Lerche
Synopsis:
Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He's more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion. However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wandering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi back to life.
[MU via MAL]
Thoughts:
The story isn't exactly interesting but I decided to watch it anyway. It's kind of annoying how it got pushed back from last year. I honestly remember this coming out at some previews from last year -_- As a comedy-seinen series, I guess that'll be Blood Lad's greatest appeal for me (aside from seeing Ohasaka Ryota at the cast).
Blood Lad is headed by Ohsaka Ryota (Maou Sadao, Sanada Yuki) and Nomizu Iori (Haruna, Kurousagi). As a fan of Ohasaka Ryota, as I mentioned in my Spring 2013 List, I'm definitely more than excited to hear Ryota once again with or without a new style of voicing although I am pretty much okay with his Maou Sadao voicing (weird language-talk. lol). As for Iori, let me give a guess: will this Yanagi Fuyumi character be klutzy-energetic (or just plain energetic will be fine)? Anyway, side casts are also looking pretty fine: Kimura Ryouhei (Hasegawa Kodaka, Kise Ryouta), Terashima Takuma (Aoki Yoshifumi, Yamaguchi Kenji) and Saito Chiwa (Senjougahara Hitagi, Aida Riko).

Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun 2  [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Shoujo, Supernatural
Production: Studio DEEN
Synopsis:
Second season of Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun.
When their village was wiped out five years ago, only Shino Inuzuka, Sosuke Inukawa, and the girl Hamaji, who was raised as if she were their sister, survived. And both men inexplicably have the same peony-shaped birthmark. Genpachi Inukai and Kobungo Inuta were raised hundreds of miles away as foster brothers, but they too share the same birthmark. When they went north as part of the army three years ago, they went to confront demons and came back forever transformed. Now the Imperial Church has come for Shino and Sosuke and they must find eight mystical gems and their owners or face a fate worse than death at the hands of the Church.
[Sentai Filmworks via MAL]
Thoughts:
The first season of Hakkenden basically introduced the characters and what we're suppose to look forward in this second half. I'll honestly be disappointed with this series if they never had this second season. Really. I actually enjoyed the first season. It's a pretty nice bishounen-filled series with an interesting supernatural side and a nice set of cast. The first season opened well for a 2-cour series which makes me wonder why they had to split it into 2 seasons. Really. Since the first season won't make so much sense if this season was never announced. The first season mainly introduced the conflicts they'll face in this second season as well as some background on the characters that we're suppose to know.
The series is still headed by Kakihara Tetsuya (Natsu Dragneel, Amaimon) and Hino Satoshi (Takagi Akito, Kamui). I really like Kakiyan in that shota character and Satoshi-san in that onii-chan role. Also Takagaki Ayahi (Yamashiro Rion, Mizukoshi Saki) will be back at Hamaji and I'm personally thinking that we'll see more of her story this season.

GATCHAMAN Crowds [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Adventure, Sci-fi
Synopsis:
The story is set in Japan in the early summer of 2015. 180,000 people live in Tachikawa City, the "second metropolis" of the Tokyo area. Among them are "Gatchaman"—warriors who fight in special reinforced suits powered by "NOTE," the manifestation of special spiritual powers in living beings. A council has scouted a group of individuals with latent powers to protect Earth from alien criminals. In recent years, the council has assigned Gatchaman warriors to deal with the mysterious entity known as "MESS."
[ANN]
Thoughts:
I personally think that Gatchaman Crowds is one of those pretty interesting series to watch this season. The synopsis isn't really that intriguing or catching but I'd say that it's got its own appeal. Add to that nice set of cast, the re-teaming of Tsuritama's director and writer, Nakamura Kenji and Oono Toshiya respectively and Iwasaki Taku (Jormungand, [C] The Money of Soul and Possibility Control) working on the music of the series. Looks like this will really be a nice production :3
The cast is lead by Namikawa Daisuke (Velvet Waver, Kazehaya Shouta), Uchida Maaya (Takanashi Rikka, Amatsuka Mao) and Ohsaka Ryota (Maou Sadao, Sanada Yuki). I'd say that it's a pretty outstanding one :3 I'll definitely look forward to that. Aside from that browsing through the side characters, looks Miyano Mamoru (Mashima Taichi, Yogi) got another troll-looking character. I'll definitely watch out for that. HAHA.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Mystery, Fantasy
Production: Madhouse Studios
Synopsis:
God abandoned the world on Sunday. As a result, nobody in the world can die or reproduce. A little girl, Ai, is the gravekeeper for a village. She has prepared 47 graves for the eventual deaths of every member of the village. Later, a boy who identifies himself as "Hampnie Hambart, the 'Man-eating Toy'," which is coincidentally the name that Ai's mother left behind as the name of her father, arrives in the village and slaughters everybody. Just what is going on?
[MU via MAL]
Thoughts:
Aside form Dangandonpa, I find this series pretty interesting as well. The mystery aspect of the series is very interesting and the setting itself is definitely something to lookout for. I think that its premise is something you won't see each season. Maybe I should say that it's something unique (or maybe I just haven't seen enough anime -_-). Aside from Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi's interesting premise, being animated by Madhouse Studio is definitely a huge up for the series. I personally think that Madhouse is a great anime production company given how great their series have been: HUNTER x HUNTER 2011, Chihayafuru
The cast is not topnotch but still pretty good in my opinion. Being headed by moe voice actress Toyosaki Aki (Hirasawa Yui, Nagase Iori) and mixed serious-comedy character voice actor Namikawa Daisuke (Narukami Yuu, Kazehaya Shouta), if you're up for interesting seiyuu this is definitely a must to watch.

Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: School, Military
Production: GAINAX
Synopsis:
Yura Yamato has just arrived at the high school division of Stella Women's Academy, when Sonora Kashima invites her to join a club called "C³". Sonora is the third-year student who became the new head of this club for military survival games. The other members include two second-year students (part-Japanese Karila Hatsuse and G36K-wielding Honoka Mutsu) and two other new students (Rento Kirishima whose family runs a Japanese sweets shop and the really short Yachiyo Hinata).
[ANN]
Thoughts:
Girls und Panzer anyone? Just kidding. But seriously speaking, C3-bu probably caught my attention due to its school-military aspect that immediately reminded me of GaruPan which I absolutely like. But then looking further at the staff, I'm kind of eyeing at its director, Kawajiri Masayoshi since C3-bu will be his first anime direction. Either way, with GAINAX (Dantalian no Shoka) decent set of produced anime, I'll be crossing my fingers that this'll also be good.
Voice acting wise, looks like we'll have the typical all female voices we probably all like. With a set of female characters, I'm pretty sure that we'll see usual character types like those tsundere, kudere, moe, and other characters-types and we're all used to. I'll now be depending on how the story will go and see if I'll actually like this one(:

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Megami-hen [ANN|MAL|Official Website]
Genre: Comedy, Romance, Shounen, Harem, Supernatural
Production: manglobe
Synopsis:
Third season of Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai.
This third season will cover the Goddess Arc. It's a direct sequel to the Tenri-hen OVA.
Thoughts:
It seems that despite the excitement that some people are getting, many manga fans are also getting worried about the adaptation of the 3rd season after the announcement that it'll cover the goddess arc. With manglobe's previous pacing of the series, those 2 1cour seasons of Kaminomi is probably making manga fans worry. As someone had mentioned in MAL forum, "Goddess arc started at ch.116 and ended at ch.189" which means it's like covering 73chapters of manga in a possible 1cour series. I haven't finish the goddess arc myself so I can't actually tell if there are anything possible to skip but if it's going to be a 1cour series, I'll just be crossing my fingers that it'll not be rush and they cut down the arc in 2seasons or something.

Might Watch when I feel like it.
I've placed in here series which I think I might consider watching but not entirely excited for. Depending on other bloggers' first impressions and probably series reviews, I'll watch this weekly or marathon it or plainly drop it.

MAL said it has a freaking mild nudity and I'm seriously cutting down on ecchi. LOL. ANYWAY, the story isn't particularly interesting. It's like a typical boy meets girl (in a countryside place like Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi perhaps? But I don't really know :P) with a typical love triangle kind of thing. But damn the countryside guy is voiced by Hosoya Yoshima (Wataya Arata, Kawabuchi Sentarou) and I know that he'll do amazingly well on this character :3 AND THAT ART!! It's looks shit for now but I'll probably check out screenshots and first impressions once it airs :P

It's another pointless comedy-slice of life series. It says they 'go through the everyday quirks of working at their office [health and welfare section]'. *sees Suzuki Tatsuhisa (Yoshida Haru, Sakamoto Yuuji) on the cast* Hmmm… I liked him as Kazunari Takao so I think that he'll work fine in a comedy environment. The art looks plain so I'll categorize this as something similar to YUYUSHIKI or Mangirl!.

Oh look, it's the moe series of the season. ALL GIRLS IN THE CAST! ohgod. x_x With the number of series I plan to watch this season and the load of school and adjustment I have right now, I have no idea how I'll give time to even think about watching something like this unless it'll be something relaxing which I highly doubt. If it's going to be similar to A-Channel's or K-ON!'s style of slice of life I'll be dropping this series immediately. If it'll be something a bit life changing or inspirational-ish like Natsuiro Kiseki or Girls und Panzer then count me in!

ohgod, why are there so much slice of life x school x comedy series this season? Summer season never fails to fail, huh? Well the yuri-like aspect of the series [practicing romance like holding hands and such] keeps it different from the previews series I checked out.

IT'S THE REVERSE HAREM OF THE SEASON and it's also the OTOME GAME SERIES OF THE SEASON. Based on my experience can I just say that the story will be extremely pointless and half-assed with a damn stupid heroine? And that synopsis basically screams WTF IS UP WITH THIS!? but I'm still eyeing on this series and still having some thoughts of watching it 'cause of that damn cast.

Now that I've re-read the synopsis I'm thinking of actually watching this one. 'Gamindustri' huh? It's a parody series anyway, looks fun to watch and the art looks pretty convincing to me. An RPG adaptation definitely does not give any half-assed art and animation. Stories fail at times (I think) but not miserably fail as what Otome games does. LOL. Anyway, I'll probably be keeping this one at the top of my 'might-watch' list :3

'A nonsense comical mystery.' or so the synopsis said. Sounds like Cuticule Tantei Inaba to me and it also gives traces of Binbougamiga! to me. HAHAHA. But at the very least with that idea, I'm kind of more interested in checking this one out. Headed by Sakurai Takahiro and Inoue Marina, I don't exactly know what to expect in their voice acting but let's just say that the story seems fun enough to try and give this one a go.

Original series about cute dolls with powers and special cards??? Hmmmm… sounds stupid but I'll go watch it anyway. I hope the animation can keep me awake on this one. LOL. I don't know really. I just felt like watching this. The character designs looks beautiful. I guess that's one point to see it animated.

So this is another all-girls series of the season (damn this season isn't exactly interesting). Directed by Kusakawa Keizou who worked on DOG DAYS. I find the first of DOG DAYS to be pretty decent but that doesn't exactly tell me anything about how this series will go. Gen'ei looks like some magical-girl series using mystical tarot cards. Kind of similar to this season's Fantasista Dolls perhaps? But prettier, I guess. LOL. OP will be done by LiSA, btw. So YAY! haha
